The head of the Mykolaiv regional military administration, Vitalii Kim, believes that the Mykolaiv region has already visually recovered from the hostilities that took place in part of the region's territory.
He announced this on April 8 in the live broadcast of the telethon «Yedyni Novyny», as reported by NikVesti.
«If you come to the region now and drive around, you could even say that we haven't been in combat. Because people and partners who come from abroad look with surprise because we have recovered at least visually. Not financially, not economically, not morally, but visually. But visually, we have put everything in order — we have flowers, children, dogs, electric scooters. The situation now and two years ago is drastically different. We have to do this so that people feel safe and can live with less psychological pressure from war,» said Vitalii Kim.

It should be noted that since the beginning of 2024, "NikVesti" has been covering life in the communities of the Mykolaiv region that were occupied and shelled by Russian forces. These include Partyzanske, Ternovi Pody, Lupareve, Lymany, Bereznehuvate, Posad-Pokrovske, and Maksymivka.
Our team visited the residents of Ternovi Pody who returned to the village after its de-occupation. We also told the story of a couple who took in 24 cats and 13 dogs abandoned by their owners during the occupation.
The NikVesti team also visited Partyzanske to show how the local residents live today.
Approximately 180 people have returned to the village after the cessation of hostilities. For a long time, they lived without any utilities - there was no electricity, gas, or water in the village. During the winter, they heated with firewood and gathered around stoves brought by volunteers. Recently, electricity and gas have been partially restored in Partyzanske, but there is still no water.
