NikVesti journalists won two out of five nominations for coverage of the restoration of Ukraine

«Yednannia» initiative center for promoting activity and development of public initiative has announced the winners of the contest for journalists «Recovery of Ukraine: path to unity». The victory in two nominations went to the journalists of the online media NikVesti.

Among the winners is NikVesti correspondent Yuliia Boichenko with the article «Ruined Entire History». What will be the fate of Mykolaiv Lyceum №60?» dated April 2, 2024, in which she described how the lyceum lives today and what awaits the institution in the future. She took first place in the nomination «The best analytical material «Changes in focus».

NikVesti correspondent Alisa Melikadamian also won in the nomination «The best story of a young journalist, «Young Shark», which is an award for an article on the topic of reconstruction or restoration of Ukraine and European integration, created by young journalists.

The editor-in-chief of NikVesti Kateryna Sereda shared that each of these victories is a confirmation of the high-quality work of the editorial office, because each of these works was written in compliance with journalistic standards.

«We pay a lot of attention to the training of our editorial staff and constantly provide educational opportunities in various areas. We see that it gives great results and we hope that in the future we will also get new victories. It's wonderful when our journalists have the opportunity to realize themselves and receive recognition for their skills and desire to be better in their work,» said Kateryna Sereda.

The organizing committee of the contest received 70 applications from 59 journalists of regional mass media and local publications. According to the conditions, each journalist could send up to three works on the subject of the competition, published during 2024.

A total of 61 journalistic articles were admitted to the finals.

We will remind you that online media NikVesti became one of the five online publications in the Mykolaiv region, which was included in the All-Ukrainian Map of recommended media. The relevant media evaluation project in Ukraine was conducted by the Institute of Mass Information together with Detector Media.
