A protest action was held in Wroclaw under the Consulate General of Ukraine, in which about 30 Ukrainians took part. The reason for the protest was that they could not receive their foreign passports ordered through Dokument State Enterprise.

This was reported by In Poland.

Among the participants of the action were both men and women holding placards with inscriptions in Ukrainian and Polish, such as «We need help», «Help us get our documents, which are illegally held by the DP Document» and «Legal right to legal stay».

«Many men who applied for passports in February-March 2024 have still not received them. Although the passport production time is three months. And everything was fine until there were changes in the legislation. We want the Consulate General to understand and provide an answer as to why the citizens did not receive their passports,» the organizers of the action reported.

The protesters emphasized that they paid for the service even before the passage of the Mobilization Law, but still have not received their documents, although it usually takes three months to produce them. The organizers emphasized that the purpose of the action is to draw the attention of the Consulate General to this problem and to obtain an answer to the question why the documents have not been issued yet.

We will remind you that in April of this year, the government banned the issuance of a passport of a citizen of Ukraine or a foreign passport to Ukrainian men aged 18 to 60 abroad.

However, from July 24, 2024, foreign representative offices of DP «Dokument» again began to accept applications for the issuance of passport documents for men.
