The head of the Mykolaiv regional military administration, Vitalii Kim, said that women began to master new professions to meet the existing demand for critical infrastructure facilities and utility companies.
He said this on the air of the «Yedini Novyny» telethon.
According to Vitalii Kim, the city has a problem with the number of jobs. There are also vacancies, but because of the reservation, «people are afraid to officially get a job.»
«Now we are trying to move towards women. And women are now being trained in professions that were usually purely male, so that we can cover the demand of utility companies and critical infrastructure companies,» he said.
The leader of the Mykolaiv region also noted that after the law on mobilization entered into force, there were fewer men on the streets of Mykolaiv.
«I do not know why. We didn't change the order, everything is going as it was, we don't have search teams. In my opinion, planned mobilization is going on in our country. This is the influence of the media, Russian statements that after May 18 everyone will be chased, and people are still re-insuring themselves and after the 18th there were fewer people. But I think that in 2-3 days everyone will understand that nothing has changed and life will resume,» added Vitalii Kim.
Earlier, the Administrative Services Center in Mykolaiv told about updating the data of conscripts: «The system is overloaded.»
What about the mobilization in Mykolaiv Oblast?
As you know, during the full-scale war, 33,000 residents of the Mykolaiv Oblast were mobilized into the ranks of the Armed Forces.
The head of the Mykolaiv regional military administration, Vitalii Kim, expressed his belief in the need for mobilization after personal communication with the military, who are currently defending the state.
The head of the RMA added that money should not be the main motivation for protecting the state.
In response to this, Oksana Kalyizhna, a member of the Mykolaiv Regional Council, reacted negatively to the regional leadership's statement regarding mobilization, comparing the issuing of summonses to evasioners to catching dogs.
