After the victory of Oleksandr Usyk over the Briton Tyson Fury for the title of absolute world champion, The Ring updated the rating of the best boxers in the world — it was headed by a Ukrainian boxer.
This is stated on the website of The Ring.
It is noted that Oleksandr Usyk has 22 victories in 22 fights, 14 of which ended in knockout. He moved to second place the Japanese Naoya Inoue, who recently defended the title of the absolute champion in the second lightest weight in a fight with the Mexican Luis Neri.
The Ring — an authoritative specialized publication published an updated ranking of the best boxers on the planet, regardless of weight category. Before the fight with Tyson Fury, Oleksandr Usyk was in third place on the list.
Earlier it became known that the British heavyweight athlete Tyson Fury returned to boxing for the championship match with the Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk.
The match took place in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia. All four championship belts were at stake: WBA, WBO and IBF, owned by Oleksandr Usyk, and WBC, owned by Tyson Fury.
