In the Inhulskyi district of Mykolaiv, they are planning to carry out a major overhaul of traffic management facilities along Bohoiavlenskyi Avenue, including the restoration of sidewalks, the installation of new traffic lights, and the reconstruction of bike lanes.
The housing and communal services department of the Mykolaiv City Council published the relevant tender on the ProZorro website, NikVesti writes.
It is planned to carry out repairs on the section of the avenue from Avanhardna Street to Kuznetska Street. The city council department is going to allocate 8 million 859 thousand 395 hryvnias for this.
The winner of the tender will be obliged to thoroughly repair the curbs, lay out shaped tiles on the sidewalks and organize bike lanes. As part of the tender, the dismantling of the metal structure ceiling at the gas station is also provided for.
In addition to repair works, the winner of the tender must arrange a green zone on the roadside area and sow a lawn. Also, the contractor must build new traffic lights and road signs, install safety islands and guide islands to organize the safe movement of pedestrians and cars on the roadway.
It is worth noting that to perform all these works, the contractor will need to cut down 20 trees of different diameters.
The works are planned to be completed by May 31 of this year. The tender auction is scheduled for February 12.
We will remind you that in September 2023, along the pedestrian Soborna Street, Mykolaiv utility workers added a bicycle path in the section from Velyka Morska Street to Sudnobudivnykiv Square, and also updated the markings that had already been applied.
Also, new markings called «turbo-ring» or «turbo-carousel» will be implemented in Mykolaiv at roundabouts.
The «turbo-ring» scheme in Mykolaiv is designed to speed up the movement of cars at roundabouts and reduce the number of road accidents due to the insufficient regulation of traffic rules when moving around the ring.
