7.7 million hryvnias are needed for the restoration of the historic gate in the center of Mykolaiv. In 2025, only 16 thousand hryvnias are planned for these works.
This is evidenced by the data of the materials for the draft budget of Mykolaiv for 2025, reports NikVesti.
We are talking about the repair of the gate along Kropyvnytskyi Street (formerly Potemkinska Street, — note), between Mariupolska Street and Soborna Street. This object is an architectural monument of local significance and is included in the State Register of Immovable Monuments of Ukraine as a residential building of the 40s and 50s of the 20th century. Currently, the gate is covered with cracks of various sizes and is partially crumbling.
Earlier, in a comment to the publication, the head of the city council's department for culture and cultural heritage protection, Yurii Liubarov, said that the condition of the gate had worsened after the accident, which occurred even before the full-scale invasion. Because then, he added, one of the columns was damaged by a car.
And in October 2024, the Department of Housing and Communal Services of the City Council ordered a project to restore the historic gates in the center of Mykolaiv for 499.7 thousand hryvnias.
