The sidewalk near the school and kindergarten is being repaired in Namyv — ₴3.1 million will be spent

In the Zavodskyi district of Mykolaiv, the sidewalk on Ozerna Street between Mykolaiv Lyceum №55, kindergarten №12 and gymnasium №57 is being repaired.

The works will cost 3.1 million hryvnias and are scheduled to be completed by 27 November.

In a commentary to NikVesti, the Zavodskyi district administration told us that the repair covers only the sidewalk itself — the adjacent areas are not included in the project. Bollards will be installed at the entrance to the kindergarten to prevent cars from driving onto the sidewalk.

«Some parts of the path were in poor condition, others in better shape, but it was decided to repair the whole section at once to make the sidewalk look consistent,» the administration said.

Benches will also appear along it so that people can sit down while walking or returning from the market.

The only bidder was Favoritdorbud, which has already received contracts from the district administration worth 12 million hryvnias. The project envisages the dismantling of the old asphalt, laying of new asphalt, installation of curbs, benches, bins and bollards, as well as landscaping.

As a reminder, Mykolaiv will complete repairs to the road on Industrialna Street by the end of the year. The Department of Housing and Communal Services says this will help relieve traffic from the Namyv neighbourhood.
