By the end of the year, 10 shelters will be repaired in Mykolaiv educational institutions for ₴20.8 million

In Mykolaiv, by the end of the year, they plan to repair shelters in 10 educational institutions of the city: 2 kindergartens, 5 gymnasiums and 3 lyceums.

Relevant tenders were published in the public procurement system ProZorro, writes NikVesti.

In general, the customer, the communal enterprise of the Mykolaiv City Council «Zakhyst», plans to spend 20.8 million hryvnias on the current repair of the shelters.

Shelter in kindergartens

5.8 million hryvnias are planned to be spent on the current repair of shelters in kindergartens in Mykolaiv:

• Preschool education institution №101 — 2 million 377 thousand 898 hryvnias
• Preschool education institution №132 — 3 million 498 thousand 152 hryvnias

Shelter in gymnasiums

The utility company planned to spend 10.9 million hryvnias on shelters in the city's gymnasiums:

• Gymnasium №6 — 1 million 173 thousand 84 hryvnias
• Gymnasium №7 — 3 million 545 thousand 739 hryvnias
• Gymnasium №36 — 3 million 409 thousand 848 hryvnias
• Gymnasium №30 — 1 million 770 thousand 152 hryvnias
• Gymnasium №24 — 1 million 24 thousand 213 hryvnias

Shelter in lyceums

KP is going to spend more than 4 million hryvnias on the current repair of shelters in Mykolaiv lyceums:

• Lyceum named after Professor M. Aleksandrov — 1 million 154 thousand 348 hryvnias
• Lyceum №52 — 1 million 188 thousand 741 hryvnias
• Lyceum №41 — 1 million 670 thousand 447 hryvnias

The deadline for submitting documents is August 8. According to the documents, the winners of the tenders must perform general construction works, in particular, the dismantling of existing coatings (ceilings, floors and walls), the installation of new coatings. Contractors must also install ventilation, water supply, and electricity in the shelters. In addition, it is necessary to install sanitary ware: toilets and sinks. Furnishing shelters with furniture and other equipment is not provided for in any of the tenders.

It is worth noting that before the liberation of Kherson, the Russian army shelled Mykolaiv with various types of weapons almost every day. During this time, the occupiers managed to damage 38 kindergartens out of 74. The last one was already after the liberation of the right-bank Kherson region, during a rocket attack on Mykolaiv on the night of April 27, 2023.

Work on the arrangement of shelters in Mykolaiv kindergartens began with an inspection of kindergartens. As it turned out, says the deputy mayor, not every institution can equip a storage room: only 27 out of 74 kindergartens have such an opportunity.

Where in Mykolaiv Oblast is there a full-time education?

In the Mykolaiv region, 57 educational institutions were allowed to work offline in the 2023-2024 academic year. Most of them are schools of Voznesenskyi and Pervomaiskyi districts. In addition, 94 schools work mixed, that is, children study offline in a certain sequence, for example, one week after another. Another 277 educational institutions work online.

It was also possible to organize an offline educational process in front-line Ochakiv, which is still in the zone of damage by enemy anti-aircraft missiles. There is a mixed form of education.

We would like to remind you that in the territory of the Mykolaiv district, from the beginning of the new 2024-2025 academic year, they want to start face-to-face education in about 80% of schools.
