Estonia will purchase €100 million worth of military equipment for Ukraine. This includes drones, watercraft, medical equipment and other items manufactured by Estonian defence companies.
This was reported by the press service of the Estonian Ministry of Defence, according to «Evropeiska pravda».
It is noted that the details, quantity and timing of the deliveries are not disclosed for security reasons.
«We agreed last year that this year and next year we will support Ukraine militarily by allocating 0.25% of our GDP per year for Estonian defence industry products. Today we have received feedback from Ukraine, which will allow us to deliver assistance to Ukrainians as soon as possible», said the Minister of Defence of Estonia Hanno Pevkur.
In addition, Estonia will provide direct military material assistance to Ukraine, participate in training of the Ukrainian Defence Forces and, together with Luxembourg, lead the IT coalition to assist Ukraine.
As a reminder, the German government has allocated an additional €3 billion in military aid to Ukraine in 2025 as part of a large-scale fiscal reform plan approved by the Bundestag.
