During the recent attack of the Russian Federation on the Mykolaiv region, the building of the neuropsychiatric boarding house was damaged — the patients were evacuated

During the shelling of the Mykolaiv region in the evening, on October 18, in one of the attacked communities, the building where the neuropsychiatric boarding house was located was damaged.

Akadii Dabahian, the head of the operational headquarters of the Mykolayiv regional organization of the Red Cross Society, announced this on his Facebook page.

Due to the impact and the strong blast wave, people found themselves in a dilapidated building. All boarding house patients were evacuated to another boarding house within six hours.

— Late on Wednesday evening, as a result of shelling in one of the villages of the Mykolaiv region, the building in which the neuropsychiatric boarding house was located was damaged. People found themselves in a destroyed building scared and unprotected, and people are special. Within 2 hours, we found transport (two large buses), a crisis psychologist, who, together with the administration of the institution, was engaged in preparing people for evacuation, went to the place, and after 4 hours we took people out. The long road was not an easy one, but we brought them and saved them, — Arkadii Dabahian said.

As you know, on October 18 at 8:30 p.m., Russian troops attacked the settlement of the Stepove community. Then two residents of the community were killed due to an enemy attack.

Later, journalists showed that the attack was on a restaurant. Houses, agricultural enterprises and civil infrastructure were also damaged.
