On the night of September 8, Russian drones attacked the Odesa region from the Black Sea, causing damage to civilian infrastructure.
As reported by the Defense Forces of Southern Ukraine, drones launched from the Black Sea caused damage to civil infrastructure in the city of Vylkove, in particular to a hotel and restaurant complex. There are no victims among the population. The Defense Forces call on residents of the region to promptly respond to air warning signals.
«We emphasize to citizens the importance of prompt response to an air alert signal and to be attentive, observing the necessary safety measures,» the message reads.
The «South» air command specified that in total 10 Russian Shahed-136/131 UAVs were shot down at night in the south of Ukraine. Combat work against enemy targets was conducted for more than three hours.
In addition, two Shahed eliminated mobile fire groups of border guards of the Izmail detachment over the Odesa region. The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine published footage of the wreckage of the downed UAV.
We will remind you that last day, on September 7, Russian troops once again shelled the Kherson region. As a result of the attack, one person died, another 9 were injured.
Also, on September 7, the Russian army twice attacked the territory of Mykolaiv region with artillery. There were no casualties.
