The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) reported the flights of Russian drones near the South Ukraine nuclear power plant.
In the IAEA report for September 19, it is reported that similar cases were recorded three times during the week.
The drones flew at a distance of 1.5 to 6 kilometers from the station, the agency said.
«The IAEA team at the South Ukraine NPP reported that several drones flew between 1.5 and 6 km from the NPP on three separate nights over the past week. There were no reports of damage or casualties. The team was forced to take cover for two of those nights, including late Wednesday night when drones and gunfire were heard,» the organization said in a report.
The IAEA noted that nuclear safety at Ukrainian nuclear power plants is maintained despite air alerts and the ongoing conflict.
Note that on the night from Wednesday, September 18 to Thursday, September 19, air defense destroyed 18 Shahed 131/136 type drones over the Mykolaiv region. In particular, several local telegram channels of Yuzhnoukrainsk informed about the movement of drones.
