Russia hit Odesa port with a ballistic missile: one person was killed and eight were injured

The Russian army attacked the port infrastructure of Odesa with a ballistic missile. One person died, eight others were injured.

Oleh Kiper, the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, announced this on October 14.

«The enemy's target has once again become the port infrastructure. One person was killed, eight others were injured. The victims are in the hospital, two of them are in serious condition. Doctors provide all necessary assistance. All the wounded and the deceased are workers of the port infrastructure, citizens of Ukraine,» wrote the head of the RMA.

Oleh Kiper added that civilian vessels were damaged: NS Moon under the flag of Belize and dry cargo ship under the flag of Palau OPTIMA. Exactly one week ago, OPTIMA was already damaged due to ballistic shelling.

Also, as a result of the attack, there is damage to the port infrastructure, in particular, the grain warehouse.

Earlier, the European Union condemned the Russian attacks on civilian vessels carrying Ukrainian grain and called for pressure on the Russian Federation to stop these attacks.
