Russia attacks Odesa city centre: hotel damaged

A hotel in Odesa was damaged by Russian shelling. Photo: DumskayaTonight, on 31 January, the Russian army attacked the historic centre of Odesa.
This was reported by the head of the Odesa regional military administration, Oleh Kiper.
The regional military administration notes that at 19:23 the first explosion was heard in the city. At 19:56, another explosion was reported.
Later, the «Dumska» media outlet reported that the explosion damaged the «Bristol» hotel.
«After the first explosion, a crater formed near the luxury hotel «Bristol» in the centre of Odesa. The glass in the shop opposite was smashed», the newspaper writes.

According to Mayor Hennadii Trukhanov, two people were injured and are being taken to city hospitals where they will receive all necessary medical care.
Relevant services are currently working at the scene of the attack. There is a lot of damage and destruction in the UNESCO protected area, and the building, which is under enhanced protection, was damaged.
In addition, trolleybuses №7 and №9 are temporarily running to the railway station.

The shelling damaged the city hospital, a private house, an administrative building, a grain warehouse and trucks.
