As of the morning of 25 March, the number of victims in Sumy increased to 99 people.
According to the Sumy City Council, emergency response is underway to eliminate the consequences of the enemy strike.
«According to the latest information, 99 people were injured: 76 adults and 23 children. Service providers are working to restore electricity, heating, water and gas supply. Hot meals have been arranged for the workers and the victims at», the statement said.
It is noted that three locations have been deployed at the scene, where rescuers, police, utilities and volunteers from NGOs are working. The owners of the damaged homes are provided with the necessary building materials for emergency repairs, OSB boards are sawn and help to close the broken windows.
As a reminder, the Russian army attacked Sumy on 24 March, hitting the city centre with a missile. A school was hit in particular. At the time of the attack, the children were in a shelter.
