Russians attack Sumy: 74 people injured

On the afternoon of 24 March, the Russian army attacked the centre of Sumy, injuring 65 people, including 14 children.
Later, the city council clarified that the number of victims had increased to 74 people, including 13 children.
According to the head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, Volodymyr Artiukh, Russian troops struck the central part of the city, including a school. The children were in a shelter at the time of the attack.
«The enemy launched a missile attack on the city centre. Several multi-storey buildings, a school, and children in a protective structure were damaged, and they are being evacuated, all alive and well. Rescue services are working to eliminate the consequences and put out the fires. We are making rounds of high-rise buildings to help the affected people», he said.
As a reminder, on 23 and 24 March, Russian troops attacked Kutsurub, Halytsynove and Ochakiv communities in Mykolaiv region.
