Less than half of water points are open during the blackout in Mykolaiv

In Mykolaiv, during the blackout, only 42 out of 114 purified water distribution points have the technical capacity to operate.

This was announced by Ihor Holovatyi, director of the utility company «Pilot», during a live broadcast, NikVesti reports.

According to him, the company owns 114 water points and 41 wells.

«We are engaged in water purification so that citizens can consume it. The company owns 114 water distribution points and 41 wells. We maintain them on our own, at the expense of the city community and with the support of international organisations. We have everything we need to do our job, and we are doing it. Everyone in the city is aware of the situation, including the electricity supply. We do not stand aside and are involved in providing the city's residents with purified water during blackouts. In particular, 42 distribution points have the technical capability to operate autonomously, and this capability is actively used to provide drinking water even during power outages,» said Ihor Holovatyi.
