According to the investigation, on the evening of April 24, the suspect came to his house in Kharkiv, where his 46-year-old wife and 28-year-old daughter were.

«Having once again lost a large amount, he again began to insult the woman and swear obscenely. However, this time the quarrel ended tragically. The husband took a hunting rifle and shot his wife. At that time, the daughter ran out of the room, he reloaded the gun and killed her too,» the report said.

After the crime, the suspect ran away from the house.

The man was detained the next day, April 25, when he was hiding in the attic of one of the hostels in Kharkiv. Later, it turned out that the husband was already prosecuted for domestic violence against his wife.

He was informed of the suspicion of the intentional murder of two persons related to domestic violence (Clause 1, Part 2, Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). Now the issue of selecting a preventive measure in the form of detention for the suspect is being resolved.
