In Kharkiv, during a search and rescue operation at the site of a Russian strike on a high-rise building, the bodies of a dead woman and a three-year-old child were recovered.

This was reported by the head of the Kharkiv regional military administration, Oleh Syniehubov.

According to him, 27 people were also injured, including a 6-month-old boy. Rescue operations are currently underway. Emergency services are working at the site of the hit, continuing to clear the rubble and provide assistance to the victims.

He noted that the region was attacked by two missiles «Iskander-M», two «Geranium-2», an FPV drone and three UAVs.

It is noted that a commercial and office building was destroyed in Kharkiv, windows in 25 buildings, as well as hospitals, educational institutions and 33 cars were damaged.

The State Emergency Service clarified that during the night, rescuers unblocked the bodies of two people — a 22-year-old woman and a three-year-old boy — from the rubble.

As a reminder, the Russian attack on Kharkiv took place on 2 January. The attack destroyed a residential high-rise building in the Kyiv district of the city.
