Zelenskyy banned the forced transfer of medics to infantry units

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a decree prohibiting the transfer of medical workers to infantry units without their consent.
Decree №817/2024 enters into force today, December 5.
Therefore, from now on, the forced transfer of medical workers to the infantry is prohibited. The only exception is cases when the doctors themselves express their desire to serve in such positions.
The Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine is responsible for monitoring the implementation of the decree. The document enters into force from the moment of its publication.
«The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine to adopt within a month a decision on the additional normative-legal settlement of establishing a ban on the appointment of persons with a medical education to positions in the military service that are not directly related to medical practice (service) during the period of martial law, except for cases when this appointment takes place at the individual's own will,» says the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.
Recently, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a decree on a new package of sanctions against Russian legal entities and individuals who work for the Russian military system. There is also a corresponding decree on the website of the President's Office. Sanctions against Russian legal entities and individuals will be in effect for 10 years.
We will remind you that Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the «hot phase» of the war with Russia can be stopped if the unoccupied territories of Ukraine are under the protection of NATO. The rest of the territories will be returned to Ukraine through diplomatic channels
