US President Donald Trump has announced that a meeting will be held as part of the Munich Security Conference, with representatives from Ukraine, Russia and the United States.

He said this during a conversation with journalists at the White House on Thursday, 13 February.

Asked about a possible visit of Vladimir Putin and other Russian officials to Saudi Arabia, where Donald Trump had previously offered to meet him, the US president said that such a meeting «would take place sooner or later».

«Tomorrow there will be a meeting in Munich. There will be representatives of Russia and our representatives. Ukraine is also invited. To be honest, I don't know who exactly will be representing the countries, but it will be high-ranking officials from Russia, Ukraine and the United States,» said Donald Trump.

It is worth noting that Russia has not participated in the Munich Security Conference since 2022, and there has been no official confirmation of its representatives' presence at the event, according to «Evropeiska pravda».

As a reminder, today US President Donald Trump had a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin. In particular, they discussed Ukraine and the Middle East, and agreed that the war must be stopped. Later, Donald Trump spoke on the phone with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

As a reminder, the United States is engaged in constructive negotiations on a full-scale war with Ukraine and the Russian Federation.

Afterwards, President Zelenskyy stressed that Ukraine would not recognise any agreements between the United States and Russia if they were concluded without its participation.
