President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is planning an official visit to the UAE on the issue of prisoner exchange. Then — Saudi Arabia on the same issue.

The head of state announced such plans in response to a question about a possible meeting between the presidents of the United States and Russia in Saudi Arabia.

«The first lady and I have a planned visit to the United Emirates, because we have a large humanitarian programme and prisoner exchange issues there. Then I will visit Saudi Arabia to discuss several issues with His Royal Majesty», the president said.

However, he noted that he would not meet with the Russians.

«First of all, I don't want to meet with the Russians, just to meet, why? No, we see the order of meetings as follows: The US, Europe, then Russia to prepare for this meeting. We are not against everything else, but we support this», he added.

He also said that after these trips he would visit Turkey to hold talks with President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

As a reminder, on Wednesday, 5 February, Ukraine returned 150 defenders home after being held in Russian captivity.
