Russia plans to resolve «Ukrainian issue» by 2026

Vadym Skibitskyi, a representative of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, believes that Russia plans to resolve the «Ukrainian issue» by 2026, otherwise it will never be able to catch up with the United States and China.

According to Vadym Skibitskyi, Russia has predicted 15 scenarios of possible military conflicts by 2045. Six of them are related to northern Europe.

«Northern Europe understands, as do the Baltic states. Poland also understands. There are only four scenarios of possible military conflict in Poland. Poland now understands that this is an immediate threat», he said.

In particular, Moscow has created a geopolitical forecast for 2026-2035 with an assessment of its consequences until 2045. The documents state that the «Ukrainian issue» should be resolved by 2026.

«Because if the war continues for another 5-10 years, Russia will never be able to catch up and be on a par with the United States and China», he added.

It should be noted that President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy believes that Ukraine will have a short time frame from the beginning of the ceasefire to the conclusion of an agreement to end the war with Russia. This is due to the fact that Russia may violate the agreements.

As a reminder, following the talks in Saudi Arabia on 23-25 March, the US, Russia and Ukraine agreed to ensure the safety of navigation in the Black Sea, avoid the use of force and not use commercial vessels for military purposes.

However, Russia has since put forward additional demands, including the easing of sanctions against its agricultural sector.

US President Donald Trump has said that the US side will consider these conditions before agreeing to a ceasefire in the Black Sea.
