The G7 summit takes place from 15 to 17 June in Kananaskis, a resort town in Alberta, western Canada.

The «Group of Seven» includes the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy and Japan. Representatives of the European Union and invited countries are also expected to attend the meeting.

Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Russia was using talks of negotiations with Ukraine to avoid tougher sanctions from the West, while misleading US President Donald Trump.

To recap, Ukraine and Russia have already held two rounds of peace talks in Istanbul. During them, they agreed to exchange prisoners and bodies of the dead.
