Zelenskyy: Security guarantee agreement with the US is 100% ready, Ukraine is waiting for the signing date

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the document on security guarantees from the United States has already been fully prepared, and therefore Ukraine is waiting for the signing date.

He made this statement at a joint press conference with the leaders of Lithuania and Poland in Vilnius, according to European Truth.

«The document is 100 per cent ready, we are waiting for our partners to confirm the date and place when we will sign it,» Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasised.

The president also noted that after signing, the agreement must be ratified by the US Congress and the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

The European component will be another part of the security guarantees. According to Volodymyr Zelenskyy, it should include the results of the work of the so-called «Coalition of the Willing» and the setting of a date for Ukraine's accession to the European Union.

«The second security guarantees for Ukraine are European security guarantees, the 'Coalition of the Willing' and, most importantly, membership in the European Union. These are economic security guarantees for Ukraine. We want the 27th year, we are talking about a specific date when Ukraine will be ready,» the president said.

According to the head of state, Ukraine will be able to open all negotiation clusters in the first half of 2026 at the technical level, and in 2027 it will be fully ready to join the EU.

«We want a specific date in our agreement on ending the war so that all parties will then adhere to these agreements, including the aggressor, who will sign a 20-point plan if the time comes,» Volodymyr Zelenskyy added .
