Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Photo from open sources.President Volodymyr Zelenskyy dismissed Oleksii Soloviov, Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.
The relevant decree No. 228/2024 of April 15 was published on the President's website.
According to document No. 229/2024, the President appointed Andrii Kononenko to the post of Deputy Secretary of the National Security Council.
Since 2014, Oleksii Soloviov worked as an associate professor of the Department of Pharmacy Organization and Economics at the Shupyk National Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education. By the decree of the President of Ukraine dated February 25, 2020, he was appointed Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.
We will remind that on March 30, Volodymyr Zelenskyy fired four freelance advisers and two more authorized employees.
Also, the head of state dismissed Olena Verbytska, who worked as the commissioner for ensuring the rights of defenders since October 2021. Since March of the same year, Verbytska headed the Advisory Council on Ensuring the Rights and Freedoms of Persons Who Participated in the Defense of Ukraine.
On February 8, Valerii Zaluzhnyi was dismissed from the position of Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces. President Volodymyr Zelenskyi met with the head of the committee, thanked him for two years of protecting Ukraine and offered to «continue to be together in the team of the Ukrainian state».
Colonel-General Oleksandr Syrskyi was appointed the new commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces.
On February 9, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy replaced the head of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
