The Sweetanok Charitable Foundation will develop an architectural concept for the restoration of School №48 in the Korabelnyi District of Mykolaiv, which was destroyed by Russian shelling.
The chief architect of Mykolaiv Yevhen Poliakov told about this in a comment to NikVesti.
«This is a foundation in America that collects funds through donations. Now they have collected money for the development stage of the first architectural concept. Because when we say that there will be a new school, you see one thing there, and I see something else. In fact, in order to build such a vision, estimate the cost and design, you need to develop such an architectural concept,» said Yevhen Poliakov.
Architect Anna Kyrii will work on the development of the school's architectural concept for three months, starting from February 1, 2024.
«We will develop such a concept and refine it. After that, we will be able to open a tender procedure to find someone who will make a working project. According to such a tender, the Sweetanok Foundation will pay for the design,» said Yevhen Poliakov.
At the same time, he says, the Sweetanok Foundation will also collect funds to co-finance the reconstruction of the educational institution. It is assumed that the school will receive about 1,300 children.
«The restoration of this school must take place. Because, in addition to the 48th school, 49th school was destroyed there, and in fact, there are no educational institutions in that part of the city. A junior and high school with a total of about 1,300 children is planned there. When we talk about the reconstruction of this school, it will actually be a new modern school, which does not exist in Mykolaiv. We hope to build a school that does not exist in the south of Ukraine,» added the chief architect.
Earlier it was reported that during the war, the surviving part of the building of school №48 in the Korabelnyi district of Mykolaiv, which suffered as a result of a Russian missile attack, will be preserved. Emergency management specialists are planning to demolish one wall of the school, which is emergency and dangerous.
