«There hasn't been any exchange for a long time, they are being tortured there»: In Odessa people went to a protest to remind about their relatives from the Mariupol garrison, who are still in captivity

In Odesa, on October 22, relatives of prisoners of war from the Mariupol garrison went to a protest because of the lack of exchanges for four months.

The protesters walked through the central streets of Odesa, holding posters with photos of their relatives in their hands, the correspondent of «NikVesti» reports.

«Our loved ones defended Mariupol for 18 months, and now they are in captivity, they are being tortured there, not all of them return alive», — said the relatives of the prisoners of war.

In particular, the relatives and relatives of the prisoners of the 501st battalion said that the soldiers have not been exchanged for more than 10 months.

— We came out to remind our relatives. There is no news from relatives, they do not get in touch at all. International organizations do not give any guarantees about their safety and have no influence on that side, so we do not know anything, only what we look for in social networks. Therefore, we remind you that our loved ones are still in captivity, — commented the protesters.

We remind you that on September 9, a protest was held in Odesa against the use of funds from the city budget to repair the courthouse and the theater. Residents believe that the money should be spent on the Armed Forces.
