In Mykolaiv, they began dismantling the buildings near the port destroyed during the rocket attack

In Mykolaiv, the dismantling of the buildings destroyed by the Russians at 35 Zavodska Street continues.

The impact on the territory of the residential sector occurred in April 2022. Due to the attack and the power of the blast wave, three houses around were damaged: at 35/1, 35/3, 35/5.

The demolition work is carried out by the company «Promhradstroi» from Dnipro. The company previously specialized only in construction, today they have to dismantle destroyed houses in various cities of Ukraine, says the director of «Promhradstroi» Oleksandr Yaholnyk.

«On November 8, we started working on the facility, we plan to finish it by the new year. We work here without days off. The work is hard, the weather does not make it easy to work, everything is wet, very dirty. Workers are simultaneously dismantling building 35/5. At the moment, the roof is being dismantled,» Oleksandr Yaholnyk said.

Construction workers carry out demolition work here every day, and the generated waste of destruction is taken to the city landfill.

Sometimes the works are watched by former residents of the house. The director says that people can stand and cry for a long time, watching how their homes are demolished.

«Many are crying. A woman came just today. She was also crying. She said that she lived here for 35 years,» says the man.

Previously, NikVesti showed a report on how the residents of 35 Zavodska Street are taking the last things from there, and no one lives in the buildings themselves, except for the homeless.
