A villa in Spain: a fake video about the mayor of Mykolaiv's luxury real estate is spreading on social networks

In social networks and various group chats of the residents of Mykolaiv, a video clip is being distributed in messengers, which tells about the fact that the mayor of Mykolaiv, Oleksandr Sienkevych, allegedly bought luxury real estate on the coast of Spain.

Videos are posted on fake or hacked TikTok pages. After that, they are already spreading among the residents of the city and region, NikVesti reports.

In the clip, which our journalists received, there is a video sequence, which first shows a half-naked man lying on the floor, followed by a photo of Oleksandr Sienkevych and overview shots of a villa in Marbella (Spain). This is accompanied by a voiceover of the text, synthesized by a computer program, about the fact that «while the Mykolaiv military commissars are catching people and sending them to death, the leader of Mykolaiv, Oleksandr Sienkevych, is not wasting time."

It is noted that the mayor of Mykolaiv allegedly purchased a villa in Spanish Marbella for 35 million euros in September.

«Where does the official get such money? Ordinary Ukrainians die at the front, while Sienkevych steals and leads a luxurious life. And everyone will sneeze at it,» says the video.

NikVesti analyzed the video series and found the villa shown by its authors. Indeed, the video shows a house in Marbella, Spain.

The villa named Villa Feliz is sold by one of the Spanish real estate agencies Guetig Group LTD. Its cost is 9.5 million euros, not 35 million, as noted by the authors of the video. This is a house with an area of 901 m2, located on a plot of land of 2475 m2 with a view of the sea.

It should be noted that since the beginning of the full-scale war, Oleksandr Sienkevych remained in the city during the period when Russian troops almost surrounded Mykolaiv. At the same time, he urged all women, especially those with children, to leave the city. His wife, Kateryna Sienkevych, periodically published photos from Wroclaw (Poland), where, together with partners, she created the international business community Board, which organizes events for entrepreneurs.

At the same time, in August 2023, a photo of Oleksandr Sienkevych vacationing in Odessa appeared on social networks.

Another video was also shared recently. On it, the authors tell that while conscripts are being «beaten» in Mykolaiv, Vitalii Kim leads a «luxurious life.» The authors of the clip mistakenly call the head of RMA the mayor of Mykolaiv and say that he allegedly received a Bugatti Veyron car in September.

It should be noted that prior to this a video was similarly distributed on social networks that the head of Mykolaiv RMA Vitalii Kim «ran away» from Mykolaiv «on vacation to his villa on the shores of Lake Como» in Italy. As in the case of the mayor of Mykolaiv, the authors of the video show shots of an unknown elite house, which supposedly belongs to Vitalii Kim. Vitalii Kim commented on these videos back in July, calling them fake.
