In Mykolaiv, on August 24, a procession in embroidered dresses was held for the Independence Day of Ukraine.

The townspeople resumed the tradition of the march, which was interrupted for several years due to the military aggression of the Russian Federation, the Mykolaiv City Council reported.

People of Mykolaiv in national clothes gathered near Soborna Square. They went to the building of the regional military administration destroyed by a Russian missile, where they laid flowers and observed a moment of silence in honor of those who died in the struggle for independence.

The column continued along the main Soborna Street, shouting patriotic slogans. The march ended near the monument to the Heavenly Hundred.
