2,052 agricultural producers submitted applications to the State Agrarian Register to receive sleeves for grain storage, with a capacity of 200 tons each. The largest number of applications came from farmers from the Mykolaiv region.

Applications are accepted until October 6 inclusive, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine reminded.

It is noted that the sleeves are intended for agricultural producers who cultivate from 50 to 10 thousand hectares of land in the Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kherson and Chernihiv regions.

To date, the largest number of applications have been submitted by farmers from Mykolaiv Oblast — 451, Kharkiv Oblast — 340 applications, and Dnipropetrovsk Oblast — 326 applications, the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Vitalii Koval said.

He also emphasized that one of the main tasks is to help farmers from the frontline areas.

«They have been sowing and harvesting crops for the third year in difficult circumstances and need support with crop storage, because the enemy destroyed their infrastructure,» the minister said.

We would like to remind you that the sleeve distribution program is supported by the governments of Canada and Japan, the Australian charity Minderoo Foundation and USAID.

Previously, a study was conducted in Ukraine about the preferences of agrarians regarding domestic production equipment, for which the state compensates 25% within the framework of the «Made in Ukraine» policy. The largest amount of Ukrainian equipment was purchased by farmers from four oblasts, in particular from the Mykolaiv region.
