Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, more than 200 cultural objects have been damaged as a result of shelling in the Mykolaiv region. About 40% of them were recovered.
During the briefing on October 8, the head of the Department of Culture, Nationalities and Religions of the Mykolaiv RMA, Olena Buberenko, told about it, they write NikVesti.
In Mykolaiv, 7 objects of cultural infrastructure were damaged as a result of Russian aggression. Of them, 4 institutions have been rebuilt, another is awaiting the start of work.
«This is the regional museum of local history, the regional palace of culture, Mykolaiv professional college of musical art and drama theater. Now we are waiting for the start of work at the Mykolaiv Vocational College of Culture and Arts, where the roof was destroyed,» said Olena Buberenko.
The head of the department noted that it is still impossible to name the total amount of losses due to constant hostilities in Ochakiv community and on the occupied Kinburn spit.
«We cannot say the amount of damage in the region, because the communities are still calculating it. It is simply impossible to calculate something, because there are constant hostilities, in particular in Ochakiv and on the Kinburn spit. There are three cultural institutions in the occupation of Kinburn. We don't know what their condition is, so the damage assessment will take place later,» she added.
We will remind you that the Mykolaiv region was on the list of regions where the largest number of cultural infrastructure objects were damaged due to Russia's war against Ukraine. In Mykolaiv region, cultural objects were damaged in 44% of communities.
