The UN refugee agency allocates an additional 7 million dollars for programs to purchase firewood, coal and pellets for the population. Residents of Mykolaiv Oblast will also receive assistance.

The recipient of donations is the NGO “Mykolaiv Media Hub” (EDRPOU 45160758). Together with the $7 million, the program's total budget will be $37 million, it said.

This program provides for a one-time payment of 21,000 hryvnias for the purchase of solid household fuel for vulnerable households in the Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson, and Mykolaiv regions.

Deputy Head of the Office of the President Iryna Vereshchuk noted that more than 20,000 households that have undergone identification should receive assistance.
