Deputy Minister of Community and Territorial Development Serhii Derkach stated this, UNN reports.

«The introduction of toll roads is a requirement of the EU. We already have a draft law on this issue ready and we are working on its implementation. In order to ensure a high-quality road surface, it is necessary to conduct an analysis of traffic intensity; currently, such an analysis is being conducted on six roads for the launch of the toll road mechanism. We are discussing this with investors and have agreements with the EIB,» said Serhii Derkach.

In his opinion, decisions will be made after the traffic analysis, and Ukraine is confidently moving towards a system of toll roads.

«Toll roads will appear sooner or later,» he added.
