Defence forces hit a Russian oil depot supplying fuel to strategic aviation

The Ukrainian Defence Forces hit the oil storage base «Kombinat Kristal» in Engels, Saratov region of the Russian Federation.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

It is noted that numerous explosions were recorded near the target and a large-scale fire broke out. Local authorities confirm the hit of the «industrial facility».

The General Staff added that more detailed information on the results of the military operation is being clarified.

«The destruction of the oil depot creates serious logistical problems for the strategic aviation of the Russian occupiers and significantly reduces their ability to strike at peaceful Ukrainian cities and civilian objects,» the statement said.
