An underground hospital with an operating theatre and intensive care unit has been set up in one of Kherson's medical institutions.
This was reported by the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin.
According to him, the hospital also has intensive care units, a manipulation room, a laboratory, a warehouse of medicines and necessary medical equipment.
«Construction work began here 4 months ago, and today the overhaul of the 560 square metre premises has been completed,» Prokudin wrote.
In addition, an internal generator, electricity, water supply and a fire extinguishing system have been installed in the storage facility. The entrance to the underground medical facility is equipped with electric lifts for unimpeded access for people with disabilities and other people with limited mobility.
Prokudin added that almost 13.3 million hryvnnias of state funds and 5.7 million hryvnias of regional funds have already been spent on the construction of the hospital.
As a reminder, in Mykolaiv, the utility company «Zakhyst» has set up a shelter in one of the city's children's hospitals.
