This is evidenced by information on the results of the work of the state civil registration authorities in 2024.

A total of 16,340 deaths and 4,651 births were registered in the Mykolaiv region.

In general, last year the death rate in Ukraine exceeded the birth rate by 2.8 times: 176,679 people were born and 495,090 died.

The worst demographic situation is observed in Kherson and Donetsk regions, where the death rate exceeds the birth rate by 11 and 8.5 times, respectively.

In addition, 4,763 marriages were concluded in Mykolaiv region, of which 970 were dissolved. In addition, 41 people changed their name, and 283 people renewed their civil registers. In total, three registry records were cancelled during the year.
