The cost of one examination will be about two thousand hryvnias, and the state will pay this amount to healthcare facilities for the services provided. Patients will be able to choose whether to undergo a check-up in a public or private clinic.

The National Health Service will monitor the entry of information on examinations into the electronic healthcare system.

In turn, Health Minister Viktor Liashko noted that the programme provides for the creation of an electronic card to which funds will be transferred for the check-up. Private clinics are also planned to be involved in the programme.

In the draft state budget for 2026, the government has allocated ten billion hryvnias for payments to citizens aged 40 and over who will be able to undergo comprehensive health screening — checking their heart, blood vessels, sugar levels, and mental health.
