President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that due to the hostilities in the Middle East, Ukraine is currently unable to confirm Abu Dhabi as the venue for the planned meeting with the United States and Russia.
According to European Truth, Volodymyr Zelenskyy was responding to questions about updates on potential negotiations. He said that the meeting was tentatively scheduled for 5–6 March, but due to the military situation, the specific location has not yet been confirmed. At the same time, the president emphasised that the negotiations have not been cancelled.
«The meeting must take place, it is important for us, we support it. The meeting itself, its results, and the possible exchange — all of this is of great importance,» Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasised.
Earlier, the president announced that he had updated the directives for the Ukrainian delegation regarding further negotiations with Russia and the United States on potential ways to end the war.
We will remind you that recently, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Kyiv is ready for real compromises in the negotiations but will not accept ultimatums from Russia.
It should also be recalled that Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, against the backdrop of reports of new deadlines from the US for ending the war against Ukraine, said that Moscow is not setting any deadlines.
