The German charity «Blau-Gelbes Kreuz» has donated 16 industrial and diesel generators worth a total of 3.2 million hryvnias to Mykolaiv.

The city authorities must now approve the recipients of the humanitarian aid by publishing the relevant draft decision on the city council’s website. The executive committee is expected to adopt this decision at its next meeting, according to NikVesti.

Four industrial diesel generators will be received by Primary Healthcare Centre №4, Gymnasium №61, Gymnasium №64 and the zoo.

A further 12 diesel generators will be allocated to nurseries, the library and the City Council’s Department of Physical Culture and Sport.

The German-Ukrainian association «Blau-Gelbes-Kreuz» is a German charity based in Cologne that actively supports Ukraine by carrying out major medical and humanitarian projects, organising evacuations and collaborating with Ukrainian foundations.

It should be noted that in Mykolaiv, in 2025, associations of co-owners of apartment blocks submitted four applications for compensation for the purchase of generators.

At the same time, Mykolaiv was due to receive 50 generators as part of aid from the South-East European Cooperation Initiative (SECI). A total of 300 units of equipment were delivered to Ukraine.
