Generators are devices that provide emergency or autonomous electricity supply when access to centralized sources is unavailable. In Ukraine, generators have become critically important during energy crises, particularly amidst Russian attacks on the country's energy infrastructure.

Generators are widely used in hospitals, schools, businesses, and households. Thanks to international aid, Ukraine has received thousands of generators to meet essential needs in regions affected by power outages.

Demand for generators in Ukraine surged in 2022–2023, leading to market shortages and increased prices. Meanwhile, Ukrainians are adapting by using generators to maintain critical infrastructure operations and ensure basic comfort in conditions of energy instability.
