In the Mykolaiv region, the head of the village council will be tried for embezzling over 700,000 hryvnias of budget funds.

According to the police, in 2022, the official signed a contract with an entrepreneur to purchase generators for emergency shelters and heating at inflated prices. The payment of 732,000 hryvnias was made on the basis of payment orders signed by him.

Investigators established that the contract was concluded without an electronic procurement system and then published in the system retroactively.
