Pervomaisk plans to sign a cooperation agreement and, as part of international aid from the Czech Republic, to receive a solar power station for the water utility.

At a meeting of the Housing and Utilities Committee on 29 September, the signing of a cooperation agreement between the city council and the non-governmental organisation ‘EcoClub’ was approved.

This involves the implementation of a project to install a ground-mounted solar power station at one of the sewerage facilities on Dachna Street.

«The plan is to install a ground-mounted solar power station. At present, adjustments and clarifications are being made to the technical details of the design and cost estimate documentation. Once the decision has been taken, «EcoClub» will sign a contract to implement the project,» noted the speaker.

Once the contract has been approved, the civil society organisation must enter into a separate agreement directly with the municipal enterprise «Pervomaiskyi City Water and Sewerage» to implement the project.

The solar power station is planned to be installed free of charge for the community, together with an energy storage system. The specific financial obligations of the parties are to be set out in the contract with the water utility.

It should be recalled that Pervomaisk has signed an agreement with international partners to finance the reconstruction and modernisation of the maternity hospital. The total cost of the project is 6.2 million euros.
