The Ministry of Defense of Belarus is transferring military equipment to «reinforcement of troops» on the border with Ukraine in order to «respond to any possible provocations.»

The Ministry of Defense of Belarus reported this on August 11.

It is noted that units of one of the mechanized units of the Armed Forces of Belarus have been put on alert.

«Military personnel are loading military equipment onto railway transport and will march in a combined way to the designated areas,» the message reads.

The Ministry of Defense of Belarus noted that the day before Oleksandr Lukashenko gave instructions to strengthen the grouping of troops in the Gomel and Mozyr tactical directions in order to respond to any possible provocations.

Earlier, the Ministry of Defense of Belarus announced that it is building a new military town in the Gomel region, 40 kilometers from the border with Ukraine.

Recently, the Armed Forces of Belarus stated that the situation on the Ukrainian border is becoming tense. Allegedly, Ukraine is bringing equipment and weapons to the borders.
