Nataliia, a migrant from the temporarily occupied Mariupol, came out to support her native prisoners who defended her city at the beginning of a full-scale war.

«None of my relatives are in captivity, my husband is a soldier, he is currently at the front, but I decided to support the «Azov» brigade, which are currently in captivity, because I believe that I and many Mariupol residents owe them our lives. I try to go out whenever I am in the city,» said Nataliia.

Tatyana is a student from Mykolaiv who also comes to the rally to support her fellow prisoners of war. The girl joined the initiative for the second time.

«It is necessary to remind about this, fortunately, I do not have anyone in captivity, but I am part of a community that should be united, I cannot be separated from other people. Although I cannot fully understand families who have relatives in captivity who died, I still consider it necessary to support them and perceive their grief as my own,» said Tetiana.

Liudmyla and her daughter Nadiia go to the rally every week, for the third year in a row Nadiia's husband is in Russian captivity. Before the start of a full-scale war, Peter went to serve under a contract with the 36th separate brigade of marines. In the fall of 2022, a man was captured in Mariupol at the Illich metallurgical plant.

— There was news that he was in captivity, there were two letters, but we do not know any other information about him. The heart breaks, the soul screams, because we see the conditions they are in there and get the impression that no one cares about them, Liudmyla said.
