The court found guilty of treason against a resident of Kostyantynivka, who searched for and handed over to the enemy the locations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Chasiv Yar region of Donetsk region.
Now she will spend 15 years behind bars, the Security Service of Ukraine reported.
The enemy was most interested in the directions of movement and the estimated number of armored vehicles of the Ukrainian troops who are fighting continuously for the city. In order to obtain this data, the agent traveled around the surrounding villages and secretly photographed the «required» objects. She traveled by public transport, and for the purpose of the conspiracy, she constantly changed routes.
SSU counterintelligence officers detained the woman in January 2024, when she was conducting reconnaissance in the area of possible locations of Ukrainian defenders. She was remotely recruited by the FSS from the beginning of the full-scale war.
The woman was found guilty of treason (Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) and sentenced to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property.
It will be recalled that the Security Service of Ukraine exposed a border guard who is suspected of working for the FSS.
