The SSU detained two residents of Kherson on suspicion of cooperation with the Russian Federation during the occupation of the city. Women created pseudo-institutions and campaigned for joining Russia. They face 10 years in prison.

As reported by the Security Service of Ukraine, one of the women is a former official of the local division of the Social Insurance Fund.

According to law enforcement officers, during the capture of Kherson, she supported the enemy, for which she received a «position» in the local occupation administration of the Russian Federation. There, under the patronage of the traitor Saldo, the woman headed the so-called «department of social politics».

It is noted that while in the ranks of the pseudo-institution, she was looking for «like-minded people» from whom she tried to form the «staff» of her unit. She also implemented Russian legislation and transferred all bank accounts to Russian rubles.

According to the investigation, the woman used a pseudonym for the conspiracy, which, in particular, she used to sign administrative documents. After the de-occupation of Kherson, she remained in the city, and later got a job at the local Pension Fund.

Another exposed woman is a resident of Korabelnyi district of Kherson. During the occupation of the city, she joined the election committee of the Russians. There, she campaigned for local residents to «vote» for the region's accession to Russia.

The Security Service of Ukraine noted that in order to collect votes, she made yard rounds and agitated local residents to put marks in favor of the Russian Federation in illegal ballots.

After the liberation of the city, the woman tried to hide, but the Security Service located her and detained her.

So far, law enforcement officers have notified both women of suspicion under Part 5 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (collaborative activity). They are in custody. They face up to 10 years in prison with confiscation of property.

We will remind you that a resident of Pervomaisk, Mykolaiv region, was sentenced to 5 years and 1 month in prison for distributing materials calling for the seizure of Ukraine.
