In Mykolaiv, in order to save budget funds and improve the quality of education, it is planned to liquidate primary school №2 by joining it to primary school No. 1.
The corresponding draft of the decision was published on the website of Mykolaiv City Council, NikVesti writes.
The draft decision provides that after the reorganization, only one institution of general secondary education will operate in the city, which will contribute to the optimization of financial costs of the city and state budgets.
The Reorganization Commission is tasked with ensuring the implementation of all organizational and legal measures regarding the reorganization provided for by the law and to submit the completed deed of transfer for approval to the City Council.
According to the portal «Information system of education management in the Mykolaiv region», primary school No. 2 with a preschool department is located in the Inhulskyi district. It can accommodate up to 120 students. As of October 25, 2023, 77 children studied there. The school also had one inclusive class.
It should be noted that the buildings of both educational institutions are 10 minutes' walk from each other.
The reorganization commission included representatives of the city council and the Department of Education:
- Nataliia Makarenko is the head of the general secondary and preschool education department of the Mykolaiv City Council's Department of Education
- Ivanova Larysa is the deputy head of the Department of Education of the Mykolaiv City Council
